Mandatee Guide
What is a Mandatee?
A mandatee is someone who has received a KeyShare link that allows them to perform specific actions on someone else's chastity lock. You don't need a Chaster account or any special setup - just the link.
Understanding the Link
When someone shares a KeyShare link with you, they're granting you limited control over their chastity device lock. This isn't unlimited power - everything you can do is pre-defined and bounded by the person who created the mandate.
What You're Controlling
A chastity lock in Chaster is a digital timer that controls when someone can unlock their physical chastity device. The lock: - Has a countdown timer showing time remaining - May be frozen (paused) or active (counting down) - Can have time added or removed - Prevents the wearer from removing their device until it expires
Your Role
As a mandatee, you can: - Execute predefined "powers" that affect the lock - View permitted information about the lock status - See the results of your actions immediately
You cannot: - Access the wearer's full Chaster account - Perform actions outside the granted powers - See information that's been hidden from you - Bypass any limits set in the mandate
Using a KeyShare Link
Accessing the Link
- Click or paste the KeyShare link in your browser
- The page loads showing the available controls
- No login or account creation required
Interface Overview
The KeyShare interface shows:
Lock Information (if visible)
- Remaining Time: How much time is left on the lock
- Status: Whether the lock is active, frozen, etc.
- Participants: Wearer and keyholder information (if permitted)
Available Powers
Each power appears as a button with: - Power Name: What the action is called - Description: What it's supposed to do - Action Details: Specific effects (if not hidden)
Executing Powers
- Read the Description: Understand what the power does
- Click "Use Power": Some powers may ask for additional parameters
- Confirm Action: Review and confirm your choice
- View Results: See the immediate effect on the lock
Actions Are Immediate
When you click "Use Power", the action happens immediately and cannot be undone. Make sure you understand what you're doing.
Understanding Power Types
Simple Powers
Execute immediately with predefined effects: - "Add 1 Hour" - increases lock time by exactly 1 hour - "Freeze Lock" - pauses the countdown - "Remove 30 Minutes" - decreases lock time
Complex Powers
May execute multiple actions together: - "Punishment" - might add time AND freeze the lock - "Reward" - might remove some time but add a small freeze - "Random Effect" - could have unpredictable results
Parameterized Powers
Ask you for additional input: - "Add Time" - you choose how much time to add (within limits) - "Custom Message" - you provide text to send to the wearer
Information Visibility
Depending on the mandate settings, you may see any combination of:
- Wearer's username and profile
- Keyholder's information
- Exact lock status and timing
- Detailed action effects
Anonymous Links
If you received an anonymous link, the person wanted to maintain privacy while still letting you have some control. Respect this by not trying to identify them through other means.
Common Scenarios
Trusted Friend Control
You know the person well and have been given specific powers to help or tease them:
- Use powers responsibly based on your relationship
- Consider their limits and preferences
- Communication outside the link is expected
Community/Forum Links
Shared in online communities for random interactions:
- Be respectful and considerate
- Don't abuse the privilege
- Understand this affects a real person
Anonymous/Random Control
You don't know who the person is: - Use powers as intended - Don't try to identify the person - Respect the anonymous nature
Punishment/Reward Systems
Part of a structured dynamic:
- Follow any external rules or guidelines
- Use appropriate powers for the situation
- Understand the context if provided
Etiquette and Best Practices
Do:
- Read all descriptions carefully before acting
- Respect any limits or guidelines provided
- Use powers thoughtfully and responsibly
- Understand that your actions affect a real person
- Report any technical issues appropriately
Don't:
- Share the link without permission
- Try to circumvent restrictions
- Abuse the powers maliciously
- Attempt to identify anonymous wearers
- Use powers you don't understand
Technical Considerations
Link Validity
- Links may expire or become inactive
- The lock session ending invalidates all links
- Mandates can be revoked by keyholders
Action Limits
- You may hit daily or total usage limits
- Global limits prevent excessive actions
- Some powers may become unavailable
Connection Issues
- Refresh the page if actions don't register
- Check your internet connection
- Actions may take a few seconds to process
Safety and Ethics
Consent
- The wearer has explicitly consented to your control
- Limits are set for safety and comfort
- Respect the boundaries established
Responsibility
- Your actions have real consequences
- Be considerate of the person you're affecting
- Don't abuse the trust placed in you
Privacy
- Don't screenshot or share interface details
- Respect privacy settings and anonymous setups
- Keep any personal information confidential
Important
Remember that chastity play involves real physical devices and psychological elements. While the digital lock is "just software," it controls access to someone's body. Always act responsibly and ethically.
Troubleshooting
Link Not Working
- Check that you have the complete URL
- Try refreshing the page
- The link may have expired or been revoked
Powers Not Responding
- Ensure stable internet connection
- Try refreshing and clicking again
- You may have hit usage limits
Unexpected Results
- Actions work exactly as programmed
- Check if there are global limits affecting the result
- Some effects may have delays
Questions or Issues
- Contact information may be provided with the link
- Technical issues should be reported appropriately
- Respect communication preferences of all parties
Understanding Limits
All KeyShare mandates include various limits for safety:
Time Limits
- Maximum time that can be added/removed
- May be per-action or cumulative
- Prevents extreme modifications
Usage Limits
- Daily action limits
- Total usage caps
- Cooldown periods between actions
Scope Limits
- Only specified actions available
- No access to other lock features
- Cannot modify the mandate itself
These limits ensure that even with control, the effects remain within acceptable bounds set by the wearer and keyholder.
Account-Required Mandates
Some mandates may require you to have a registered Chaster account before you can use them. If you encounter a link that asks for Chaster account registration:
Quick Registration Options
Option 1: OAuth Registration (Recommended) 1. Click the registration link provided in the error message 2. Choose "Login with Chaster" on the registration page 3. Authorize KeyShare to access your Chaster username 4. Return to the original link - it should now work
Option 2: Manual Registration 1. Create a temporary lock with KeyShare extension enabled 2. Access the KeyShare extension page during your session 3. Click "Register account with KeyShare" 4. Return to the original mandate link
Per-Browser Registration
Registration is stored locally in your browser, so you'll need to register separately on each device/browser you want to use KeyShare with.
For detailed registration instructions, see the Chaster Account Integration documentation.
You are participating in consensual adult activities. Always respect boundaries, act responsibly, and remember that your actions affect real people.
